Jon Courtenay was a powerhouse live performer for over twenty years before appearing on Britain’s Got Talent in 2020 where Ant and Dec awarded him their Golden Buzzer. He then went on to be the Judges Choice in the semi-final and finally the first ever Golden Buzzer act to win the show. The following year Jon was awarded Best Performer at the National Reality Television Awards in London.

Jon has since appeared on The Royal Variety Show, Britain’s Got Talent Christmas Special, Good Morning Britain, This Morning, Lorraine and BBC Breakfast often performing original songs written for the moment. He composed and performed the opening song for the ITV Panto, the reopening of Wembley Steps, The Michael Ball Show on BBC Radio 2 and The End of the Show Show for Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway plus made a guest appearance on Les Dawson,
The Lost Tapes documentary on ITV. In 2021 Jon completed his first hugely successful UK theatre tour.

Since winning BGT, Jon revealed his cancer experience, kept secret during the show which led to his awareness campaign with Macmillan Cancer Support and his new composition ‘The Mole Song’ and to him becoming an Ambassador for the charity Skcin. Jon has also written a new oneman comedy musical about his experiences which he is taking to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year and later on tour.
