Roanna Yapp was born in Vancouver, Canada. Roanna moved to London, England in 1997, where she studied Latin dancing with the world’s top instructors for over 8 years, including Shirley Ballas, head judge of BBC's "Strictly Come Dancing", as well as Karen Hardy and Matthew Cutler, both winners of the same very popular TV series. Roanna has obtained titles such as highest ranked Canadian, North American Finalist and West London Champion. She also placed in the top 50 of the world at the most prestigious competition the British Open, in Blackpool, England. In 2005, Roanna obtained her Latin and Ballroom certifications from the International Dance Teachers’ Association, and was awarded “Highly Commended” in both examinations.
Goran Simpraga was born in Vukovar, Croatia. He immigrated to Vancouver, Canada in 2001. Goran has trained with top dance instructors in Canada, USA, England, Hong Kong, Thailand and Poland.
Goran and Roanna’s career highlights include spending 6 months in Hong Kong teaching and performing at various events, and being guest entertainers/instructors aboard Saga, Crystal, P&O and Carnival cruise ships. They have also spent time in Phuket, Thailand, teaching, running a studio and organizing various dance events.
