About

Gavin is an experienced and respected stand-up comedian and writer who began his comedy career in Perth, Western Australia in 1999 as a national finalist in the RAW Comedy competition. Gavin moved to Melbourne in 2000 and began performing at iconic comedy rooms including The Prince Patrick Hotel and The Espy alongside Australia's top comedians. Gavin has written, produced and performed in ten Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, has appeared on Network Ten's 7PM Project and The Comedy Channel's Stand-Up Australia, has performed around Australia, overseas and regularly aboard cruise ships since 2012.

He has featured in a number of TV commercials and has been a regular guest on ABC radio and 7HOFM in Hobart. He has supported international comedians including Tommy Tiernan, Michael Winslow and 'Weird Al' Yankovic. In 2005 Gavin was a recipient of the Brian McCarthy Memorial Moosehead Award for his solo show based on his experiences working behind the scenes in the television industry, As Seen On TV. Since moving to Tasmania in 2005, Gavin has run respected stand-up comedy workshops in Hobart, Perth, Canberra and Melbourne mentoring many new comedians and now manages Jokers Comedy Club, bringing professional interstate and international festival acts to Hobart.
