Don Winsor is an award-winning American-Australian baritone who has performed all over the world in theatrical productions, symphony tours, film, and television. Favourite roles include over hundreds of performances as both The Beast and Gaston in DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Anatoly in CHESS, The Phantom in Yeston/Kopit’s PHANTOM, Chauvelin in THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, Billy Flynn in CHICAGO, Sam Carmichael on the Broadway tour of MAMMA MIA, Harold Hill in THE MUSIC MAN, a few runs as Thomas Andrews in TITANIC, and an award-winning Pontius Pilate in several productions of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.
Don was the principal cover for Henry Higgins in the 60th anniversary production of MY FAIR LADY, directed by Julie Andrews and appeared as Marvin in the 2018 Australian revival of FALSETTOS. Don has performed as a guest soloist with several symphony orchestras, and been featured at corporate events around the globe. Don’s recent film and TV work includes PREACHER, NEIGHBOURS, HOPELESSLY DEVOTED TO YOU, and commercial campaigns for Hot Wheels, Sportsbet, Cooper’s, and more.
Don is also a writer and regular contributor to various blogs and websites. Most importantly, Don’s all-time favourite role is a relatively new one: father to three little boys.
