About

Internationally acclaimed artist Christina N. Alexander is a multidisciplinary Performer with a passion for addressing Diversity and Tolerance issues in both her work and everyday life. She received her BM in Music at Barry University and her MM in Musicology from the University of Miami. Her research has focused on chronicling Black American Music from the Slave Era to its present forms. This is an ongoing work, a lifetime achievement, when completed. In 2007, she founded the South Florida Kids Choir, a program for young performers interested in low cost, high quality music-vocal and musical theater training. For two decades Christina has committed to sharing music with kids and adults with an interest in deepening their knowledge and improving their skills. She has been a featured performer in various theatrical and vocal performances in the United States and around the world (places such as Thailand, Dubai, Switzerland, Kuwait, and others).

Singing/Performing/Teaching is her vocation, but it is also her passion. Her original theatrical piece “HATE: An American Love Story” addressed issues of gender, sexuality, race, and faith. Some of her performance credits include: Various Cruise Ships, Dreamgirls, RENT, Little Shop of Horrors, Mahalia: A Gospel Musical, It Ain’t Nothing But the Blues, Harlem Duet. She has toured and taught Music, Theater, and Musical Theater for over a decade, on several continents (Alabama Gospel Choir – featured singer; The Gospel Truth Tour – featured singer, American University at Sharjah).
