Caleb Crawford obtained his bachelor’s degree in marine biology at the University of South Florida in May of 2022. Throughout his time in college, he volunteered at numerous places such as Clearwater Marine Aquarium, where he would frequently teach guests about the dolphins. He also volunteered at a fish and invertebrate collection which was a part of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute. At the collection, he became very familiar with the taxonomy of invertebrates and fish.

Caleb studied abroad in Curaçao on a field course where they did 20 dives on the coral reefs in the area, practicing scientific diving techniques and surveying the area. He is very familiar with Caribbean marine life and is quite capable of identifying reef fish and invertebrates.

He has spent a great portion of his career in marine science education, both in the Florida Keys as well as in Tampa, Florida. Various subjects such as invertebrate biodiversity, shark biology, reef fish identification and more were taught to students of all ages by Caleb.

Caleb has always been fascinated with all marine animals and enjoys sharing his knowledge of them with the world. He enjoys educating people on topics and animals that they previously knew very little about.
